This is not a budget friendly brew, but you can easily build Sarulf on a budget as well. The objective is to keep messing with our opponent’s non land permanents by getting counters onto Sarulf then removing said counters to exile the non land permanents. Opponent made infinite treasures and tokens? Remove 1 counter on your upkeep and boom all gone! Our primary win condition is through either a Witherbloom apprentice combo or Professor Onyx combo using Chain of Smog or Chain of Acid to drain everyone for infinite. This is why it is crucial to run those sweet sweet tutors. Make sure to run plenty of ramp as well and card draw! I do not recommend running a lot of non land permanents as Sarulf’s ability can and will exile your non land permanents as well. Cards like Torment of Hailfire are a great alternative if your main win condition fails. If your opponent makes a lot of creature tokens cards like Meathook Massacre or Massacre Wurm are great as they are oppressive against token decks. Overall this deck is designed to be oppressive against most decks whether it is blowing up lands, exiling cheap non land permanents like mana dorks or rocks, removing commanders, and causing set backs for your opponents. Now go out there and show the world the appetite of this good boy!
